Before a student can enroll in English or mathematics courses, s/he must take the English and mathematics placement examinations.

The only exceptions are the following:

• Incoming freshmen who have submitted an original ACT or SAT score report will be automatically assigned an English placement.

• Transfer students who have taken a mathematics and/or English course at an accredited U.S. institution are exempt from taking the corresponding placement exam(s).
