History: UW-Superior has fielded championship teams at the conference and national levels since 1907. Recent accomplishments include the 2002 NCAA Division III National Championship in men's hockey, the 2002 and 2004 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles in softball, and the 2004 NCHA title in women's hockey. Just as important, the Yellowjacket athletic program has a heritage of producing student athletes who perform well in the classroom and earn their degrees.
