If a student wants to take classes as a graduate specialist before being formally admitted into the program, we recommend 12 units (which is the limit which can be taken as a graduate specialist) We recommend choosing from the following classes:
COUN 702 – Theories of Counseling
COUN 704 - Introduction to Counseling
COUN 724 – Behavior Management
COUN 728– Career Counseling
All graduate students are assigned a faculty academic advisor once they are formally admitted into the program.
