Hello, and welcome to UW-Superior.

Whenever I ask students why they chose to attend UW-Superior, they tend to give me the same answers: They prefer our small class sizes, they like having opportunities to work one-on-one with their professors, or they heard about the quality of our academic programs. I like those answers because they tell us we're doing a good job of serving our students. And that, in short, is what UW-Superior is all about. Students are the driving force of our university, and they have been since our institution was founded more than a century ago. Our faculty and staff are deeply committed to providing a liberal arts education that is personalized, intellectually challenging and relevant to our changing world. That means preparing students to think and to learn for themselves while at the same time providing them with top-rate career preparation.

This is an exciting time at UW-Superior. Over the next several years, we will be building a new student center and a new academic building, and renovating our library. These projects will help us provide the best learning environment available for our students.

UW-Superior also is moving toward the future with new programs and new ideas. For instance, we are adding new minors in Chinese and Information Technology to better equip our students for a changing world.

We also continually review and revise existing programs, and that results in a broad array of quality offerings. For instance, our Teacher Education, Biology and Business Administration programs are recognized by employers and the public for their excellence. Our History program is among the leaders in offering a global view of the world's past. Our Music program is known for producing quality teachers as well as professional musicians. At UW-Superior, we're proud of our role as Wisconsin's Leading Public Liberal Arts College. We hope you'll join us.
