Writing Across the Curriculum with Supportive Writing Center

UW-Superior will begin to implement a “student development” model of Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) that stresses direct service to students through an expanded Writing Center.

2006-2007

  • Infused existing University Writing Center with funds for more tutors, expanded hours, and increased publicity for services  

2007-2008

  • Creation of WAC Advisory Group
  • Search for and hire WAC coordinator
  • Provide additional supervisory support for Writing Center

2008-2009

  • WAC coordinator conducts campus-wide discussions to plan and initiate elements of WAC
